Major Milestone for Stem Cells – 300K Scientific Publications

Stem Cell Milestone

Wow, this is a big moment for the stem cell community. We officially crossed 300,000 stem cell publications released to PubMed.gov. PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and NIH that comprises more than 27 million citations for biomedical literature.[1] It is the largest and comprehensive global database that exists for scientific publications.

A few weeks ago, our team realized we were getting extremely close to this milestone. Since then, we have be tracking it every day using this search phrase:

                   Search Phrase: “stem cell” AND “stem cells”
