What Stem Cell Events Am I Attending?

What stem cell events am I attending?

Stem cell events

Each year, companies must decide on the best stem cell events to attend, among the dozens that are offered worldwide.

This is a major decision, because attendance requires a significant investment of time, energy, and money. However, conferences are an AWESOME spot to network, showcase your products, and stay up-to-date on the latest stem cell research.

Recently, I was asked what stem cell conferences I plan to attend yet in 2016. It’s an easy answer.

Here are three stem cell events that you should check out and put on your calendar.

1) Axiogenesis iPSC Applications Workshop (September 7-9, 2016)

Axiogenesis is hosting a “Human iPSC Applications Workshop” in Cologne, Germany. The workshop will include a combination of live demos and live applications data from pharmaceutical and CRO customers of Axiogenesis. The unusual focus on live cell demonstrations makes this a rare event, presenting attendees with the opportunity to discuss benefits and limitations of assays, as well as observe live (“wet”) tests under laboratory conditions. If you are looking to get more experience with handling iPSC-derived cells, then you need to register soon, because 55 participants can attend and only a few spots remain available.

2) “10 Years of iPSCs” (September 25-27, 2-16)

Cell Symposium is hosting “10 Years of iSPCs” in Berkeley, California. The event will honor a decade of iPSCs, the Nobel Prize winning discovery reported by Yamanaka and Takahashi in Cell in 2006. Hear updates on this rapidly moving area, including presentations spanning the latest advances in technology development through to the therapeutic application of reprogramming for both drug development and cell-based therapy. The meeting will serve as a catalyst for new ideas and future growth as the iPSC and reprogramming field enters its second decade. You will want to be there, because this is a once in a decade opportunity.

3) World Stem Cell Summit (December 6-9, 2016)

Held in West Palm Beach, the World Stem Cell Summit brings together more than 1,200 attendees from 40+ countries, putting brilliant speakers on stage and packing rooms with eager listeners. Impressively, there are up to seven speaker tracks at a time, letting you target the presentations to your specific interests (science, policy, advocacy, and more). In addition to the concurrent speaker tracks, there are Expert Luncheon Roundtables, Investor Presentations, a Stem Cell Actions Award Dinner, and 1-on-1 networking opportunities. Needless to say, the World Stem Cell Summit is one of my favorite events of the year.

Check out these events and message me if you’ll be there. I hope to see you at one, two, or (hopefully) all three!
