Hamburg/Juelich, February 20, 2017 – On April 4, 2017 the first international Stem Cell Community Day will take place in Hamburg. Experts from academia and industry will discuss the status quo, perspectives, and challenges in stem cell cultivation for research and therapy, according to the event’s motto: “Bioprocessing Technologies in Stem Cell Research – Challenges and Chances for Commercialization”

Key note speakers are:

Attendees can expect a comprehensive program including talks, a poster exhibition with final awarding, as well as hands on demonstrations of instruments and consumables for stem cell cultivation. Dr. Robert Zweigerdt from the Hannover Medical School (Germany) will be the scientific chairman.

The Stem Cell Community Day is organized by the leading life science company Eppendorf AG. “The commercial use of stem cell-based technologies requires reliable methods for the large-scale production of stem cells in consistent quality. The event will take place at the Hotel Crowne Plaza Hamburg – City Alster. The conference language is English. Registration is open until March 29, 2017. Poster abstracts can be submitted until March 10, 2017.
