San Diego based Performance Cell Manufacturing is the newly formed CDMO division of VetStem Biopharma

Poway, California, December 8, 2020. – Performance Cell Manufacturing (PCM), is the newly formed contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) division of VetStem Biopharma.

PCM was born from VetStem’s 15 years of experience with cGMP compliant cell therapy product development and manufacturing. PCM provides cell therapy development and cGMP contract manufacturing for companies for FDA phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials.

PCM’s parent, VetStem Biopharma, received approval from the California Department of Public Health – Food and Drug Branch for manufacturing and has been providing contract cell manufacturing services to companies engaged in human clinical trials since 2018. The first contract manufacturing agreement for human clinical trial drug was signed in August 2018, which led to the creation of PCM in order to expand service offerings to other cell therapy companies. Cells have been manufactured  for multiple companies and clinical trials including an FDA approved clinical trial to treat COVID-19.

With the procurement of a new suite adjacent to the current FDA-inspected laboratories, PCM has expanded to accommodate the growing demand for cell therapy manufacturing services. The new suite will provide an increase of over 1,000 square feet of cleanroom space making the total cleanroom space approximately 2,500 sq. ft.

Performance Cell Manufacturing provides personal attention and industry experience to accelerate development and scale up manufacturing of cell therapy products.
