In an exciting webcast to be held tonight, Wednesday, February 3, 2021, the AASCP will feature renowned researcher, Dr. Giacomo Lanzoni.

Working at the Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Lanzoni is a brilliant asset to the field of cell based therapies.
For over a decade, Dr. Lanzoni has been developing stem cell-based approaches to facilitate the cure of type 1 diabetes. Originally from Italy, his science is now contributing to a landmark clinical trial that holds great promise in paving the way for future therapies using perinatal tissues.

First Fellow Induction
Another major event will be occurring during tomorrow’s academy meeting. It is with great honor that Dr. Dayton (President), Dr. A. J. Farshchian (Director), and the entire Faculty of the AASCP will be inducting their first Fellow into the AASCP on the evening of Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Dr. Warren Bliwiess, started his journey almost 2 years ago when he first joined the AASCP as a diplomat. His course work included successful completion of both written and oral exams. Please join the AASCP in in congratulating its first Fellow of the American Academy of Stem Cell Physicians!
